The unit has an overall weight of 85t including the skidding assembly. The operation is limited to hands-on when the coil is entering through the strippers, disconnecting the stabbing winch wire and when connecting the coil end to the tool-string.
The CTAT (Coiled Tubing Advanced Tower) is designed to provide the following safety and operational improvements;
Modular built equipment facilitates the assembly from existing platform cranes
Operates on a Skid System reducing the need to use overhead crane to move between wells, crane is therefore not locked for other operations
Tool Handler –Tool is controlled from Horizontal to Vertical position
Radio Control –All systems –Hardwire Back-Up
Flexibility of 360 Degree rotating for both Tower and Injector
Skidding of Frame, plus independent skidding of Injector Table (Higher level of accuracy and control related to coil stabbing)
Horizontal tilting and leveling of the injector with 4 hydraulic locators means more accurate stabbing.
